Hi I'm Sophia,
I am a qualified Psychotherapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical code of conduct. My background is from a health and social care setting and I am also a qualified social worker. I have experience of working therapeutically with both adults and children and offer both short and long term counselling.

What to expect from counselling
Counselling is often likened to a journey and one of my roles is to take that journey with you and help you to try and achieve the outcomes you desire by providing a safe, containing and non-judgemental space to explore the aspects of your life that you are struggling with.
Sometimes life can become overwhelming and exhausting and having someone to talk to in a calm, supportive and reflective environment can make the world of difference. Perhaps you have been struggling with a particular issue for a while and feel the time has come to start to working through it. Or maybe you just feel completely lost and you're not quite sure why and where to start in trying to make sense of everything.
